The mirrors are the same as the RSV except for the stalks which are longer in the RSV4 and have a different distance between the studs (so they won't bolt straight on). You can attach the RSV upper to the RSV4 lower (stalk), but since the indicator wiring goes through the centre of the stud you'll need to remove the pins from the connector with a pin removal tool (easy) and then use a 13mm go-through socket or tube spanner (box spanner) to remove the lower part.

I found out the hard way after a guy eBay sold me an RSV mirror claiming it was an RSV4 one. Luckily enough I was able to salvage the stalk from the RSV4 and replace the upper part from the RSV. Took about 10 mins, works fine and is identical to the original.
